Well, while the debate between major European based American companies and data access, ownership and the long arm of the Law, both sides of the pond takes us to a place we don't really want to be, it puts a lot more emphasise on the upcoming EU Data Protection refresh.
Roll on a lot more reading of long boring and tedious hearsay on the new data protection potential laws, until we have some firm guidance to adhere to...
In the meantime, I'd suggest everyone gets as protective of their stored data as possible until the storm passes. That and plus asks kindly for their data back from US based, or even owned companies asap! GULP!
